Emergency services were called to the westbound carriageway, just before the M25 junction, yesterday at around 6.45am, after a car was hit from behind by an HGV, forcing it under the truck in front.
Two people were transported to the Queen’s Hospital in Romford following the incident.
Their injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.
The road was closed for several hours after the incident. A diversion was in place via the A1012.
Police tweeted to say they’d also “be getting in touch with other drivers who had filmed one handed with their phones not watching the road ahead.”
Thankfully the driver of this car hit from behind by an HGV on the #A13 earlier wasn’t seriously hurt, to the 20 or so drivers who drove by one handed to film it with your phones not watching the road ahead, keep an eye on your ?as we’ll be in touch. ML@EP_RPU_South
