“Sexual assault” video goes viral as police investigate incident at Faces nightclub in Gants Hill

Police are investigating two allegations of sexual assault after a video involving a 20-year-old woman went viral online.

She was allegedly recorded being sexually assaulted by a man at the Faces nightclub, in Gants Hill.

It was then shared on social media platforms but has now been taken down.  

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police are investigating a third-party allegation of sexual assault after a 20-year-old female is alleged to have been sexually assaulted at a nightclub in Gants Hill in the early hours of Friday, 30 November.

“Police received a further third-party allegation of sexual assault after the same female was alleged to have been sexually assaulted again at a hotel in east London on the same morning.”

So far, no arrests have been made and inquiries continue. If you saw anything you can contact police on 101.

The investigation is being led by officers from the East Area Command Unit.
