Man with air gun in Harold Hill sparks armed police response

Armed police were called to Harold Hill this morning after claims a man was seen with a firearm.

But when officers arrived in Clematis Close, they discovered the male was actually in possession of a number of air weapons.

Worried neighbours called 999 at around 9.30am today after seeing the firearm.

Armed officers swooped in and spoke with the man.

A police helicopter was also seen hovering over Harold Hill while the incident was investigated.

A Met police spokesperson told Time 107.5 that no offences were noted.
