Police find child “safe and well” after car reported stolen in Beckton

The vehicle was taken this afternoon

Police have found child who was reportedly in a car that was reported stolen from Beckton. 

The white Audi A3 was reportedly taken from Beckton Triangle retail park at around 12.20pm today.

We are urgently trying to locate a white Audi A3 reg GK20 AFU that has been reported missing.
We believe there is a young child inside.
The car was last seen in Beckton Triangle, E6 #Newham at approx 12:18hrs today.

The Met later Tweeted that the vehicle had been found, and the child was located safe and well elsewhere.

The circumstances of the report are being looked into, police say.
