Motorcyclist rushed to hospital after crash in Dagenham

A man has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car and a motorbike in Dagenham.

The collision happened in Wood Lane, between Martins Corner and the Cherry Tree pub, at around 1.45pm today.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “The motorcyclist was treated at the scene by paramedics. He has been taken to hospital and we await an update on his condition.

“The driver of the car stopped at the scene. No arrests and enquiries continue.”

It is not yet known how serious the motorcyclist’s injuries are.

The road is currently closed, and it is causing delays in the surrounding area.
