Emergency Services were called to reports of a casualty on the tracks at 2.18am this morning.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Officers are working to identify the deceased and inform their next of kin.
“This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
All lines have now reopened although some delays and cancellations may remain on TfL Rail and Greater Anglia services between Liverpool Street and Shenfield.
