Officers in Hackney have clubbed together over £1,000 to help an 11-year-old boy found alone “in very sad circumstances.”

Police wanted to let the boy “know that he was not alone” after attending to him in response to a call from a concerned third party.

After arranging for him to be taken into appropriate care, the officers raised over £1,000.
