The victim suffered facial injuries after he was attacked with the corrosive substance in Lowther Road at around 9am on Wednesday, 26 May.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested at the Stratford Centre on Wednesday, 9 June and taken to an east London police station.
The teenager was subsequently charged the next day for throwing a corrosive fluid with intent to burn/maim/disfigure, possession of Class B drugs, possession of a knife and threatening behaviour with a knife/blade in a public place.
He was also charged with three counts of assault of an emergency worker and possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.
After appearing in custody at Stratford Youth Court on Friday, 11 June, he was further remanded to appear at Barkingside Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 16 June.
