The victim was assaulted near Mudchute DLR station (credit: Google Maps)
A female, who boarded the train at Crossharbour, was targeted during morning rush hour on Thursday, 17 June.
The perpetrator boarded the train, just after 8am, at the same station further up the platform.
After approaching the victim, the male pushed her off the train at Mudchute onto the platform and told her to leave the station with him.
When the victim refused, he threatened to push her onto the tracks.
Once lead away from the DLR station, the victim was slapped across the face, thrown to the floor and kicked in the back of the legs repeatedly.
At this point, the male let the victim leave and told her ‘to go to school.’
Police are appealing for witnesses of the incident to come forward.
