A 14-year-old boy was given a slash injury to his face during the incident in Rainham Road on Monday, 2 August at around 7pm.
Officers also confirmed a robbery had taken place.
One victim was taken to an east London hospital.
A second 14-year-old boy did not require hospital treatment.
The suspects managed to escape.

A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “Police were called at 19:02hrs on Monday, 2 August following reports that two teenage boys had been assaulted in Rainham Road, Rainham
“Officers attended and established that a robbery had taken place.”
Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has useful information about what took place.
