15 Firefighters worked to rescue the man from the blaze
The blaze broke out in a bedroom of the property in Eastwood Road just before midnight last night.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus recused the man, who was treated on scene by London Ambulance Service.
Crews from Ilford and Dagenham had the fire under control less than half an hour later.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
