A panel, which will include a local GP, will explain what the updates mean for local people and how they can best protect themselves and others.
They are also going to be taking questions from residents and will listen to their concerns.
Leader of Redbridge Council, Cllr Jas Athwal, is on the panel and said it is understandable people have concerns about the new Omicron variant.
“The challenge that Redbridge, London, and the country faces is significant, and we all need and want to share the festive season with our loved ones,” said Cllr Athwal.
“The key to being able to do so is vaccination. I hope that Thursday’s meeting will help to answer some questions and help the borough get boosted.”
The panel will cover the Omicron variant, new government guidelines, who is eligible for the booster vaccine and how they can get it.
They are also going to cover vaccinations and pregnancy.
Public health consultant, Ian Diley, and Dr Shabnam Ali will be joining Cllr Athwal at the meeting.
“As a local doctor I’ve seen first-hand the devastation Covid has brought to our communities,” added Dr Ali.
“Let’s work together to keep our communities protected from the ravages of this awful pandemic.”
The meeting is taking place via a live Microsoft Teams link at 6pm on Thursday, 16 December.
