Officers responded to reports of a disturbance involving a group of young people in Suttons Lane at around 8.15pm on Friday, 14 January.
They found the victim, aged in his 50s, suffering from stab injuries. He was rushed to hospital where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.
A man and woman, both 25-years-old, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
They have since been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in early February.
