The victim was returning to his parked Range Rover in Avon Road when he saw it was being stolen at around 12.45pm yesterday afternoon.
The thief drove at the man, hit him and then fled the scene in the stolen vehicle.
The London Ambulance Service took the victim to hospital. We are waiting for an update on his condition.
Police believe the suspect was riding a moped prior to the theft.
They have not made any arrests and are continuing to investigate the incident.
