The 27-year-old fell as she tried to get into a moving car in Main Road at around 11.30am on Friday, 22 July.
She was rushed to hospital with a broken ankle and serious facial injuries. Her condition has since been assessed as not life-threatening.
“The woman has been arrested on suspicion of theft,” said a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police.
“She sustained her injuries while attempting to get into a car having stolen a Rolex watch from a male pedestrian. She was with another female and the male car driver.
“The car stopped at the scene. A police car on patrol saw the injured woman, and, following initial enquiries, officers arrested all three people.
“The 27-year-old woman remains in hospital. The other woman and the male driver remain in police custody.”
