Armed officers rushed to South Street after receiving reports that gunshots had been fired at around 8pm.
They found the victim, aged in his early 30s, suffering from stab injuries.
The London Ambulance Service took him to hospital where he remains. Police are waiting for an update on his condition.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed that no arrests have been made and they are investigating the incident.
