This year’s dame, Super Nanny, will be played by Dominic Gee-Burch who starred as the villain in last year’s production of Aladdin. He also played Mr Lucas and Mr Scruton earlier this year in Sue Townsend’s The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13¾ the Musical.
Alex Tomkins has returned to the theatre to play King ‘Enry after being the alternate lead for the hit West End musical School of Rock. He appeared in the theatre’s festive variety show Christmas Allsorts as the lovable Buttons in Cinderella. Alex was also Eddie in the major revival of Made in Dagenham.
The final returning cast member if Laura Sillet as Fairy Falalalalalalalala. She stepped in to play Princess Jasmine in Aladdin last year. Her other theatre credits include Dreamboats and Petticoats and Hair! 50th Anniversary.
They will be joined by a range of new actors and musicians. Ben Barrow plays Proppa, Anna Fordham is Princess Raury, Jerome Lincoln plays Romford Prince, Marta Miranda is Prim and Hannah Woodward plays Vampira.
Sleeping Beauty is written by Andrew Pollard and directed by Caroline Leslie. It will feature original music and lyrics by Tom Self with choreography from Lee Crowley. The costumers are designed by Dora Schweitzer and lighting design is done by Stephen Pemble. Matthew Russell is the executive producer.
The pantomime is running from Thursday, 24 November to Saturday, 31 December 2022.
