Teenager rushed to hospital after being stabbed during fight in Ilford

A 17-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after a stabbing in Ilford.

Police were called to Ilford Lane, near the junction with St Luke’s Avenue and Wingate Road, at around 2am on Sunday morning after a fight broke out.

The teenager was taken to hospital with stab injuries where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

No arrests have been made.

A spokesperson for The Met Police said: “An investigation has been launched and cordons remain in place as forensic examination continues at the scene.

“There has been no arrest at this early stage.”
