Driver in hospital after lorry overturns in Woolwich

A lorry driver has been taken to hospital after the vehicle overturned in Woolwich.

The crash happened at around 12.45pm this afternoon (Monday, 5 December) in New Ferry Approach.

Emergency services attended to the driver who’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The Woolwich Ferry is suspended due to the lorry blocking the terminal entrance.

New Ferry Approach also remains closed near the Woolwich Ferry Roundabout causing delays on surrounding roads. A number of bus routes are on diversion.
