A £20,000 reward is being offered after the body of a murdered woman was found in Woolwich on Valentines Day last year.

Naomi Hunte was stabbed to death in her flat in Congleton Road on Monday, 14 February 2022. The 41-year-old was found with multiple injuries.

A post-mortem examination held later at Greenwich Mortuary confirmed her cause of death was from a stab wound.

The charity, Crimestoppers are offering the sum for information that may help catch her killer.

Naomi’s mother, Lorna, said: “It’s been over a year since Naomi died and we, as a family, need to understand what happened to her.

“Naomi was a vibrant, kind and loving person and her death has caused our family great suffering.

“If you know anything about her death please come forward and speak to Crimestoppers anonymously”.

Crimestoppers say they’re offering up to £20,000 for information the charity exclusively receives – either online or by calling freephone 0800 555 111 – that leads to the arrest & conviction of anyone linked to Naomi’s murder.

London Regional Manager at the charity Crimestoppers, Alexa Loukas said: “This is an awful tragedy and made worse by the fact that Naomi was found dead in her own home. Our thoughts are very much with her family and friends.

“Our charity knows it can be hard to give information about crime, especially if it’s about someone close to you or in your wider circle of friends and associates.

“We know that some people are reluctant to come forward and contact the police directly, which is why the charity Crimestoppers is here for you.”

“Crimestoppers has been taking crime information completely anonymously since we began in the late 1980s. Every day, 1,500 people trust our charity with their information, given online or over the phone. We have always kept our promise of anonymity to the millions of people who have contacted us.”

Information passed directly to police will not qualify for a reward. Only information passed to Crimestoppers online or via phone will qualify.
