Met Police were called at around 5.10am on Monday, 3 July to reports of a collision involving a car in River Road.
Officers attended but the occupants of the car had left the scene prior to police arrival.
The car had been reported stolen earlier this morning.
Met Police say road closures remain in place while the scene is dealt with.
No arrests were made and enquiries continue.
