Fatiha Sabrin was found unresponsive at a property in Sutton Street, on Saturday, 11 December 2021.
She was taken to an east London hospital where she died later the same day.
Jesmin Akter, 33, was charged on Friday, 28 July with manslaughter and importing a regulated substance.
The charge follows an investigation by detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
In a statement, Met Police said: “Fatiha’s family have been informed of this development and they continue be supporting by family liaison officers.”
Akter is due to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 22 August.
