Man and woman appear in court after baby found dead in Harold Hill

The pair appeared in court on Friday, 25 August 

A man and woman have been charged in connection with an investigation into the death of a baby in Harold Hill.

The baby’s body was found inside a house in Mimosa Close on Tuesday, 22 August.

Ahmed Mahad, 35, of no fixed address and Dawn-Marie Huxtable, 36, of Mimosa Close, appeared before Barking Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 25 August.

Both have been charged under Section 60 of the Offences Against the Person Act, Concealing the Birth of a Child.

The Metropolitan Police say “enquiries in to the circumstances are continuing.”
