The Metropolitan Police were called to the crash between junction 29 and 30 just before 8am on Wednesday, 25 October.
One of the drivers was taken to an east London hospital by the London Ambulance Service.
A LAS spokesperson said: “We were called at 7.49am today (25 October) to reports of a road traffic collision on the M25, Upminster.
“We sent an ambulance crew, a medic in a fast response car and an incident response officer to the scene.
“We treated a man at the scene before taking him to hospital as a priority.”
Three of the four lanes were closed while the incident was ongoing.
