Officers were called by the London Ambulance Service to Navigation Road just before 9:00 this morning to reports of an unresponsive man.
Despite the best efforts of the LAS the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called to Navigation Road, Tower Hamlets at 08:43hrs on Saturday, 6 November after the London Ambulance Service was called to reports of an unresponsive man.
“Officers attended with paramedics and found a 22-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the scene.
“While the circumstances are still under investigation, the man’s death is being treated as suspicious.”
Police are asking for anyone with any information to contact them on 101 and giving them the reference 2171/06NOV.
