Police have released CCTV of two suspects they want to speak to after a stabbing in Chingford.
A 20-year-old man was found with a stab injury to his eye in Hatch Lane last month.
The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance with life changing injuries.
He has been discharged but could lose the sight in his left eye.
Officers believe he had been attacked on Ashwood Road by two men in possession of a machete and a knife.
The victim struggled with them before being stabbed outside the Co-op in Hatch Lane.
No arrests have been made.
CCTV footage obtained from the store shows two suspects as they attack the victim.
Detective Constable Stephen Eyres, of Waltham Forest CID, said: “This was a targeted attack. The victim was ambushed by two men who were intent on causing him serious harm. It was a particularly violent attack which has resulted in the victim requiring numerous operations on the injured eye and he could lose the sight in the left eye altogether.
“We are appealing for any information as to the identity of these two suspects.”
