The incident happened between 4.30-5pm this afternoon.
The condition of the person involved is currently unknown.
Romford station is closed, with passengers allowed to exit the station but not able to enter to board trains.
Greater Anglia has tweeted to say the line has reopened but delays and cancellations at short notice are to be expected.

Earlier today, TfL Rail and Greater Anglia trains were both affected by a “trespass incident” at Chadwell Heath.
Services were starting to run again and return to normal until this incident.
