The Met has today released the names of those charged
The National Crime Agency, in conjunction with every police force in the country, announced last week that it had made more than 700 arrests following Operation Venetic.
The Metropolitan Police has today released details of the people it has charged through its involvement in the operation.
Among them are:
Anthony Sellick, 33, of Clunas Gardens, Gidea Park, was arrested on Wednesday, 17 June. He was charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
Stephen Willis, 34, of Chevington Way, Hornchurch, was arrested on Wednesday, 17 June. He was charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
Alexander Guest, 39, of Mansted Gardens, Chadwell Heath, was arrested on Saturday, 20 June. He was charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
Milan Hussain, 34, of Melford Road, East Ham, was arrested on Wednesday, 24 June. He was charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
Christopher Michaelides, 51, of Millwall Crescent, Chigwell, was arrested on Tuesday, 30 June. He was charged with firearms offences, conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs + other offences.
Daniel McNeil-Duncan, 35, The Galleries, Warley, was arrested on Thursday, 25 June. He was charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
James O’Hara, 48, of Flaxen Road, Chingford, was arrested on Wednesday, 17 June. He was charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
The NCA’s operation involved analysis of an encrypted communication system called EncroChat.
The system was cracked in April by an international law enforcement team.
At least 746 arrests have been made in the UK because of the data, with seizures of more than £54m in criminal cash, two tonnes of drugs, 77 firearms, and 200 threats to life averted.
