Emergency services were called to Mawney Road just before 9.30pm, following reports that a motorbike and car had collided.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “The motorcyclist, a man in his forties, was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.
“Mawney Road was closed in both directions until approximately 4.40am.
“The car stopped at the scene and there have been no arrests.”
