Forensic officers were at the scene
South Street is closed between Market Place and Primark following the incident, which is believed to have taken place shortly before 6am this morning.
A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 5.55am this morning to reports of a fall at a residential address in South Street, Romford.
“We dispatched an ambulance crew and a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance by road.
“We treated one patient at the scene and took them to a major trauma centre.”
A police spokesperson has said the man, who is aged in his 50s, suffered injuries that are not life-threatening or life-changing.
Forensic officers were in South Street this morning, working to establish the circumstances surrounding the fall.
The road has since reopened.
