Investigation launched after two teenagers assaulted in Rainham

An investigation has been launched after two teenagers were assaulted in Rainham.

A 14-year-old boy was given a slash injury to his face during the incident in Rainham Road on Monday, 2 August at around 7pm.

Officers also confirmed a robbery had taken place.

One victim was taken to an east London hospital.

A second 14-year-old boy did not require hospital treatment. 

The suspects managed to escape.

A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “Police were called at 19:02hrs on Monday, 2 August following reports that two teenage boys had been assaulted in Rainham Road, Rainham

“Officers attended and established that a robbery had taken place.”

Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has useful information about what took place.

“Anyone with information can call police on 101, quoting CAD 621602Aug.

“Information can also be provided, anonymously, by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
