Detectives want to speak to anyone who saw the assault in South Street
The 28-year-old was assaulted outside a pub in South Street shortly after midnight on Friday, 10 June.
He was left with a broken jaw that required surgery.
The incident took place shortly after the man had been asked to leave the venue by a member of door staff.
