Staff baking competitions, prizes for the best decorated area and the judging of a Coronation themed art competition submitted by local children took place.
The Mayor of Barking and Dagenham, Faruk Choudhury and Mayor of Redbridge, Thavathuray Jeyaranjan made an appearance.
The special guests helped crown the winner of the team baking competitions.
After her visit to wards at King George Hospital, the Hospital’s trust Chair Jacqui Smith said there had been “a phenomenal amount of effort” from everyone across the Trust and it had been a great opportunity to “bring teams together and have a bit of fun”.
