Three vehicles, including a lorry, collided near the Darenth interchange at junction 2 around 2pm this afternoon (Tuesday, 14 November).
No one is believed to be injured. Complex recovery was required at the scene, with barrier inspections also taking place afterwards.
In an earlier statement, Kent Police said they “were called at 1.59pm on Tuesday, 14 November 2023 to a report of a collision involving a lorry and two other vehicles on the M25 near junction two.
“No injuries are believed to have been sustained, however the lorry driver is reported to be stuck in the vehicle and the emergency services are at the scene assisting.”
Two lanes along the A282 trunk road were also shut as a result.
National Highways Kent said: “Recovery has been completed & all lanes have reopened on the A282 south between J1B and J2 Dartford.”
Severe delays have remained on the M25 clockwise throughout the afternoon.
