Essex Police wants to contact 28-year-old Adam Gates, who also goes by Adam Maxy, and is said to have links with Brentwood and Milton Keynes.
Hundreds of people breached government restrictions at the disused All Saints Church on New Year’s Eve.
Officers are continuing to look into the incident which saw party-goers reportedly throw objects at police when they tried to stop the event.

A 30-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman are being investigated on suspicion of burglary, money laundering, and cannabis cultivation.
After the Tudor church was damaged, a community group aimed to raise £2,000 for its repair.
“We are only a small group of volunteers who look after this beloved building and rely on donations to pay for the repairs that are required to the window, the door lock, the electrics and a massive deep clean operation,” said Friends of All Saints member Astrid Gillespie.
It took the group less than a week to collect more than £20,000 in donations.
