Essex Police would like to speak to two people in connection with a burglary at Olympic cyclist Mark Cavendish’s home in Ongar.

Officers are investigating the disturbance which saw Cavendish and his wife threatened in the early hours of Saturday, 27 November last year.

Cavendish won a silver medal at Rio 2016

They also took a Louis Vuitton suitcase as well as two high value watches.

Three people have been arrested and one person has been charged in connection with the incident.

Police would now like to speak with two more individuals.

They are 25-year-old Jo Jobson of Plaistow and 26-year-old George Goddard from Loughton.

Goddard is also known to have links to the Isle of Dogs.

Detective Inspector Tony Atkin, who is leading the investigation, said: “The investigation is ongoing and, so far, three people have been arrested.

“I now seek the public’s help to locate two men, Jo Jobson and George Goddard. I believe both men will have information which will help the investigation and I would urge them both to come forward.”

Anyone who has information about their location is asked to contact the police.

The man who has been charged is Romario Henry, a 30-year-old man from Lewisham who will appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on January 14.

Two other men are due to answer bail this week.
