Residents in Harold Hill are returning to their homes after an explosion at the post office sparked an evacuation.
Emergency services were called to Farnham Road shortly before 1.30pm this afternoon.
Police officers and the London Fire Brigade are currently at the scene.
The London Ambulance Service confirmed no one was injured.
A police spokesperson said: “The cause of the explosion has been confirmed as gas related.
“Local residents who were evacuated from their property are now able to return.
All cordons have been lifted.”
