A man from Forest Gate is the fifth teenager to be charged with the murder of Lord Promise Nkenda in Canning Town.
18-year-old Shemar Dawes was charged yesterday.
Dawes has been remanded in custody and will appear at Thames Magistrates Court later.
Lord Promise Nkenda was fatally stabbed in Goldwing Close in February.
Four other teenagers, three aged 17 and one aged 14, have previously been charged with the murder.
A trial will begin on Monday, 13 August at the Old Bailey.
