Man arrested for leaving car on train tracks in Grays

A driver has been arrested after leaving his car on railway lines in Grays.

The vehicle was dumped near a level crossing yesterday morning between East Tilbury and Stanford-le-Hope.

It meant cancellations on c2c while police tracked down the owner.

The man tried to convince officers he was the victim of a robbery.
