Man in critical condition after stabbing outside Ilford police station

A man is in a critical condition in hospital after a stabbing in Ilford this morning.

Officers were alerted to a man suffering a stab injury outside Ilford Police Station in High Road just after 4am.

The man, believed to be aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition is currently critical but stable.

There have been no arrests but officers from the East Area Command Unit continue to investigate.
