A man in his 50s has been taken to hospital after being assaulted in Marks Gate.
It happened near the Co-op in Rose Lane at around 6.45pm yesterday according to the Metropolitan Police.
The victim suffered a head injury which isn’t believed to have been life-threatening.
No arrests have been made but officers from the East Area Command Unit are investigating.
