Smokey’s Shack, the new restaurant on the site of The Brickyard has shut its doors, just days after opening.
The chicken restaurant is undergoing renovation work to increase the size of the kitchen.
In a statement, Smokey’s said it had underestimated how busy it would be.
“With the mass volume of orders, we have decided to reconstruct our kitchen to make it bigger and better.”

The restaurant opened on Wednesday last week, two-and-a-half months after The Brickyard closed down at the start of January.
Smokey’s management said it aims to open on Friday, 30 March.
