Raiders suffer first leg play-off semi-final defeat

The Raiders Ice Hockey team 7-4 to Basingstoke in the first leg of their play-off semi-final.

A packed Sapphire Leisure Centre crowd saw a tight first two periods with Bison leading 5-4 heading into the last period.

But they edged the final 20 minutes to lead heading into the second leg which takes place tomorrow.

The match was slightly marred when Raiders player JJ Pitchley picked up a serious looking injury to his knee.
