Tesco in Rainham closed for “safety reasons”

The Tesco Extra store in Rainham is currently closed for safety reasons.

Police have advised the store to shut due to a traveller encampment outside the store.

It will remain closed until tomorrow.

A statement on the Rainham Tesco Community Facebook page said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances as advised by the police for the safety of both our customers & staff Tesco Rainham Extra is currently closed.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused”
