West Ham United are apparently close to signing a well-known England International.
Sky Sports News is reporting the Hammers will sign free-agent Jack Wilshere.
The 26-year-old left Arsenal at the end of the season after being told his game-time would be limited under their new manager Unai Emery.
Wilshere missed out on a place in the England squad for the World Cup in Russia but does have over 30 caps.
If he does join West Ham, it would be their fourth major signing of the transfer window.
The Hammers have already signed Issa Diop, goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski and defender Ryan Fredericks.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side are back in preseason training and begin the new season away to Liverpool next month.
